I tried explaining to someone that having to "perform listening" makes it harder for me to actually pay attention, but they just insist i'm just trying to rebel against societal norms.

I’m curious how ADHD affects the way people experience their homes. I mean a normal, comfortable home with very few possessions: mostly empty cupboards and drawers, clear surfaces, and only keeping things that are useful or necessary. I’d love to hear how this kind of environment affects you.
