A rare 14th-century 'Siditale' hero stone has been discovered at Panchalingeshwara Temple, Barkur ; first of its kind in Tulunadu. The carving depicts a self-sacrifice ritual across three panels. If research is properly funded for Barkur, we can find more such relics in former capital of Tulunad
